#FollowMeTo @MURADOSMANN

It all started while on holiday in Barcelona.  Murad Osmann’s girlfriend was a little annoyed that he was taking pictures of everything, so she grabbed his hand and pulled him forward as he accidentally snapped a picture.  Today, Murad snaps pictures of his girlfriend taking his hand and leading him through some of the most recognized landmarks of the world.  While capturing things that other people might miss, his instagram account is taking over the world, literally, with over 2.2 million followers.

I started following Murad Osmann over a year ago, along with his stunning girlfriend, Natalia Zakharova.  I never thought I’d ever meet the amazing duo, much less have them take a #selfie with me!

It was such an honor for us to be invited to the vernissage for Murad Osmann’s exhibit at Upper House last night.  Such a great couple.  Francois and I really enjoyed hanging out and discussing the magic behind these amazing photographs.

[Side note: Vernissage is a fancy French word that typically is only used by very important fancy French people whom get invited to fancy French events with fancy French food and other fancy French stuff. But, last light this Texan attended one of these fancy events in Hong Kong, while honoring a Russian! It was insane and completely confusing and crazy for all the fancy French attendees.]

We were also introduced to the equally talented jewerly designer, David Aaron Joseph, who is responsible for the one-of-a-kind, old Hollywood and Bohemian inspired jewelry worn by Natalia in many of the photographs.

I have lived in Hong Kong for nearly 4 years, and I’ve never been surrounded by such nice, charming, and beautiful people, as I was last night.  I want to thank Fiona Ho, with The Cat Street Gallery for the invite.  We really have no idea how we were so lucky to be apart of such an enjoyable evening.  So many of these events are over crowded with loud want-to-be some-bodies, all trying to trump the main focus of the event.  Last night was different.     #thankyou  #perfection

If you live in Hong Kong, or passing through, you must have a drink at the best bar in town, followed by checking out the Sky Lounge to see for yourself the amazing talents of Murad Osmann, Natalia Zakharova, and David Joseph.

If you’d like more information, check out Murad’s website here or grab one of his new books at Amazon.

Hi. Welcome to Hong Kong… according to Ken. Me! I’m a Texas guy that now lives in Hong Kong. I left my life as I knew it, to start a new life. One filled with unfamiliar sites, languages, foods, smells, culture and people. This “leap of faith” is still leaping, but I’m beginning to see the ground beneath me. If you ever wondered what it would be like to pack your bags, say good bye to everyone you know, jump on a plane to another world- then get ready. Here’s a look at life in Hong Kong… according to Ken.
